Veterans Aid Official Christmas Cards

A Veteran is for life - not just for Christmas. There are demands on our resources all year  round. This year VA is selling cards that will enable us to meet those demands. With the support of sponsors Towergate Wilson we are  selling packs of high quality 'Season's Geetings' cards featuring the picture that has become the emblem of our work - 'Applicants to a Casual Ward' by Sir Luke Fildes.

It shows a queue of people outside a workhouse; on the extreme left is a soldier, begging. On the wall behind them is a recruiting poster. A great deal has changed since those post-Waterloo days, when the nation turned its back on veterans.
