Towergate Wilsons is a specialist insurance provider with over 60 years of experience providing tailor-made military insurance cover for armed forces personnel serving in the United Kingdom and abroad.

In 2008, they decided to support the work of Veterans Aid and still do so to this day.

Scottish Veterans’ Residences was founded as a charity in 1910 by two Seaforth Highlanders, Charles Pelham Burn and Chilton Lind Addison Smith, having seen the squalor under which veterans of the day existed in Edinburgh.

SVR provides unique and unrivalled residential accommodation for our ex-service men and women of all ages. Each year we help some 300 ex-service men and women and their spouses.

This high quality facility and organisation is Veterans Aid’s first and only partner to date. Our unique working relationship allows for both partners to have a national footprint.
