SUPPORT AND TAX INFORMATION

New Gift Aid Scheme from 6 April 2000

If you are a tax payer, providing that you sign a Gift Aid declaration, VA can recover from the Inland Revenue the income tax paid by you on your gift.  This will remain in force until you cease to pay tax or wish to cancel the gift. The previous lower limit of £250 has been cancelled and there is now no lower limit. Presently, for every £1 donated, VA can recover 28p.

Give as You Earn Scheme

You can arrange with your employer for a sum regularly to be deducted from your gross wages or salary, i.e. your wages/salary before tax, and credited to VA under the Give as You Earn Scheme.
