Veterans Aid boss escorts Lord Mayor to Legion service

CEO of Veterans Aid Dr Hugh Milroy escorted the Lord Mayor of Westminster Councillor Susie Burbridge to a special Service at Westminster Abbey today to commemorate the 90th Anniversary of the Royal British Legion.

The Service was followed by a reception attended by HRH The Princess Royal.

Veterans Aid is one of three charities being supported by The Lord Mayor during her year of office. It will be celebrating its own 80th Anniversary next year.

Dr Milroy said after the Service: "It was a most moving service. I felt very honoured to have been involved and proud to have been chosen to be the Lord Mayor's consort."
